CIP Spring Engagement Trips for 2022

During CIP’s 2022 Spring Engagement trips, students and staff from all CIP locations will travel to local destinations for exciting experiences promoting team building and cultural expansion. During these events, students and staff will have the opportunity to build trust and community… and have fun!

 

BERKSHIRE: Students will travel with peers for a day of exciting cultural experiences in Lake George, NY. The Lake George region includes a wide range of activities and attractions, including wondrous hiking trails, picnic areas, museums, miniature golf courses, dude ranches and great shopping. 

 

LONG BEACH: This year’s Engagement trip features two day-long trips into and around some of the most interesting spots and experiences in Los Angeles. Highlights include catching a Cirque du Soleil show, exploring a ghost town and learning its history, visiting the Korean Bell of Friendship which sits in a park on the Pacific, and of course exploring new culinary delights, and spending quality time with peers.

 

BERKELEY: Students will learn about the history of the iconic coastal community of Santa Cruz through the experience of various landmarks from beachside boardwalks to the redwood forests. Students will also have the opportunity to explore the Santa Cruz boardwalk, experience the unforgettable Mystery Spot of Santa Cruz, and finish their adventure by catching the sunset - and maybe a glimpse of aquatic wildlife - at Natural Bridges State Beach.

 

BLOOMINGTON: Students are heading to the “Windy City'' to experience the sights and sounds - and famous deep dish pizza - of Chicago. First, students will explore Millennium Park - considered an ‘urban icon of beauty and culture - before continuing on to the Navy Pier - which boasts almost 55 acres of parks, gardens, and all sorts of shops, sights and attractions. Day two will feature a full day including a trip to Beyond Fields, the Museum of Science & Industry, and the Lincoln Park Zoo.

 

BREVARD: This year’s Spring Engagement features three destinations over four days of  adventures and experiences for students. Students will travel to ICON Park in Orlando to experience the Museum of Illusions, the Aquarium, and Madame Tussaud’s. The next adventure is an interactive, cultural Scavenger Hunt of Melbourne which includes local history, landmarks, and murals. And finally, students cool off and have fun with water rides, games, wave pool, and rafting during a Marine Wildlife exhibit hosted by Seaworld at Orlando’s Aquatica Water Park.
