CIP is planning for the future! We've organized an amazing trip for our students to COSTA RICA scheduled for December 28th, 2021 to January 6th, 2022. The trip is part of CIP’s unique Global Engagement program offering exciting travel opportunities for their students.
Assuming there are no travel restrictions in place due to COVID 19, this amazing trip includes guided tours where students will visit rainforests, experience canopy adventures, white water rafting, crocodile river tours, butterfly gardens, and more. CIP students will explore the country with students from each of CIP’s five locations nationwide. The trip is filled with history, culture, beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity experiences from the rugged coastlines of the Caribbean and Pacific.
At its heart, the Central American country boasts a unique landscape that is home to nearly 5 percent of the world’s biodiversity. Students will discover how fragile these endangered ecosystems are as they travel through different rainforest preserves. There’s nothing quite like the rainforests of the “Rich Coast” to get the adrenaline pumping The itinerary includes visits to San José, the Arenal region, Los Chiles, Monteverde, Central Pacific Coast, and Sarchí.
Students are able to participate in this exciting and educational travel experience during their winter break, providing an excellent opportunity to broaden their horizons and learn about other cultures in a safe, supervised environment. The program also offers a unique opportunity for participants to spend time with students from other CIP locations, develop friendships and make lasting connections.
CIP has been offering Global Engagement trips for the past eight years, with the exception of 2020 when it wasn’t feasible due to COVID19 restrictions. Previous destinations include Jamaica, Costa Rica, Italy, Belize, Spain, Tokyo, Ecuador, London, and Edinburgh.
All students also have the opportunity to participate in regional travel events during the school year.
