Independent Living Skills

Life skills are the building blocks of happy and productive lives

CIP helps young adults with autism, ADHD, and learning differences develop independent living skills and competencies such as personal care, executive functioning and organization, cooking, and cleaning in a supported apartment setting and within the community.

The CIP Life Skills team helps to teach and model key skills and competencies for students to practice and generalize within their living environments. CIP apartments are fully furnished and each student has their own bedroom and shares common areas with at least one roommate. CIP's team supports students with independent living skills, roommate relationships, and much more!

  • Engage in productively exploring and connecting within the community
  • Ensure a high level of health and safety within one's living environment and the community
  • Build life skills competencies and routines to support interdependence
