We hope everyone is continuing to remain healthy and safe during these times! We’ve been busy working with families for this summer and have seen increased interest lately as families have begun refocusing on their summer plans post COVID-19.
Below you will find important Summer@CIP updates for the week ending 5/1:
Important Changes to Summer@CIP Location Availability
We regret to inform you that we can no longer hold Summer@CIP programs at the following locations:
Cal State Long Beach
Florida Institute of Technology
These campuses have canceled all scheduled programs and events throughout this summer.
We are still planning and preparing to hold Summer@CIP programs at the following locations:
Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Massachusetts
UC Berkeley in California
We are in touch with our contacts at these institutions regularly and will keep you informed if anything changes. Of course, this is being monitored carefully by all.
We are optimistic about these remaining programs taking place. The safety and health of our community at CIP is paramount, and we will only move forward with these programs if we can meet all required state and local guidance as well as our own internal standards for health and safety. As the situation continues to evolve, we will keep you closely informed. You can visit CIP's COVID-19 Preparedness page for the latest information. For now, we are all-in on a safe and healthy Summer@CIP 2020!
😎NEW: Virtual Summer Program Options for 2020
We are excited to announce that CIP will be offering a new two-week Virtual Summer Program providing a top-quality program experience online. Taking the best of what Summer@CIP provides, and incorporating a dynamic mix of expert staff from all five CIP’s comprehensive Full-Year program locations, this unique program will be anything but your typical remote learning offering!
Specifically created for high school age students with autism and learning differences, participants will connect and engage within small groups and individually with expert staff. Engaging educational sessions will be provided in the areas of:
social skill development
Participants will come from all over the country and world and have options for various timezones. Of course, this will be done in typical Summer@CIP fashion: focused on fun, friends, and crafted to the unique interests of our amazing students!
Further details on this immersive virtual experience will be shared next week.
Throughout the next couple of weeks, we will be reaching out to you personally to discuss these changes and new options. All families who have paid for a Summer@CIP program that have been canceled, or becomes canceled in the future, will be eligible for full refund including deposit (minus the non-refundable $100 application fee).
Stay safe - we’re here for you and are dedicated to providing a great summer experience for your family!
