Student Ambassador Profile: Alex

 

Alex hikingAlex is CIP Long Beach student from Encino, CA who is 20 years old. 

His interests include swimming, watching movies, and going out with friends. Alex's goals at CIP include learning the bus route to college and working on effective follow up with his supervisor at an internship outside of CIP. Alex is also an Admissions Ambassador and assist families with tours at CPI Long Beach.

I have made progress by meeting new people, being around new friends, cooking my own meals without any supervision, going to places on my own, and being independent in a work environment setting.

Image Above: Alex with the Sierra Club at an 8 mile hike at Casper's Wilderness Loop. He went on a hike with 25 other members and socialized with members of the group at Bravo Burgers. He spent a total of 7 hours outside of his comfort zone and practiced initiating and carrying on conversations with others.

Student Ambassadors are CIP student positions responsible for meeting with visiting families, assisting the admissions office, and other duties as assigned. Ambassador positions are paid employment opportunities for current CIP students who have successfully applied, interviewed, and maintained their employment as productive employees at CIP.
