After the completion of her coursework, Rose received her Beginner Certificate in Early Childhood Education and her AA degree in Early Childhood Education.
She volunteers at the Norman Rockwell Early Childhood Center located on the BCC campus and is part of the service learning program tutoring fifth graders.
Rose previously tried college and had extreme challenges and difficultly. Prior to CIP, Rose became very overwhelmed with her academics and struggled with time management, organization, motivation, initiation, breaking down assignments and planning ahead.
Rose has made great strides and progress academically in her two years here and each term at BCC she learns just a little bit more about managing a rigorous academic case load. She has realized that there are certain supports that contribute to her success at the college and she is a full participant in utilizing these extra supports to her best advantage.
