Celebrating Connection and Discovery: CIP’s 2025 Spring Engagement Trips

Written by College Internship Program | Jun 24, 2025 7:15:09 PM

As spring's spirit of renewal gives way to the warmth of summer, each of CIP’s five Centers embraced the season with vibrant Spring Engagement Trips — memorable day-long adventures that fostered exploration, social connection, and real-world skill building.

These regional adventures serve as a prelude to the more expansive Global Engagement Trips during the Winter Term, where students from across the country come together for international travel and cross-Center connection.

Beyond fun and recreation, Spring Engagement Trips offer valuable opportunities for real-life application of executive functioning and social skills. Students navigate travel logistics, manage time, and interact in varied social settings, all while building camaraderie and confidence.

Here’s a look at each Center’s trips!

CIP Brevard: Universal Orlando Adventure

From epic coasters to magical moments, the CIP Brevard 2025 Spring Engagement Trip to Universal Orlando was one for the books!

Students conquered the VelociCoaster, raced through the Wizarding World with Harry and Hagrid, and cooled off on classic splash rides. Rain or shine, they showed flexibility, teamwork, executive functioning skills, and a true thrill-seeking spirit! 💪🌦️✨

Huge thanks to our dedicated staff for making this experience unforgettable. Until next time, Universal!

CIP Berkshire: A Day in Mystic, CT

Our students spent an unforgettable spring day exploring the charm and culture of Mystic, CT! 🐋✨

We kicked things off at Mystic Aquarium, home to beluga whales, Steller sea lions, penguins, and even a hands-on ray and shark touch pool. Students were immersed in marine life and even journeyed back in time with the Dino Seas exhibit!

After a courtyard lunch at the aquarium's Saltwater Cafe, we strolled through Olde Mistick Village, browsing unique shops, enjoying local treats, and soaking up the 18th-century colonial village vibes.

⚓ Then it was off to the Mystic Seaport Museum, where students explored America’s maritime past through interactive exhibits and historic vessels.

We wrapped up the day in Downtown Mystic, enjoying a bit more shopping and ending on a high note with a classic slice at Mystic Pizza in Mystic River Park.
