CIP in Action During Disability Employment Awareness Month

This month, two of CIP Long Beach's students took part in the City of Long Beach Disability Mentoring Day.The participating mentees met other individuals with disabilities at Long Beach's City Hall in the Human Resources Department. After brief introductions, students were escorted by their respective mentors to their department and off-site locations to job shadow from 9am-12pm.

 

Josh B. mentored with Public Works Fleet Services offsite and Alexander W. mentored with the Financial Management Department in City Hall. They received certificates of Appreciation from the City of Long Beach's Citizen's Advisory Commission on Disabilities for their participation.
